Dr. Selim-Tugra Demir is a part-time interim Professor at the Master Course International Project Managament. He is also Senior Manager and the Head of Lean Solutions at Drees & Sommer SE in Stuttgart (Germany). Tugra’s responsibilities cover among other things the successful Lean transformation of construction organisations and projects acting in the Built Environment. As such he has gained experience in a variety of consultancy and project management services in Germany, Kuwait, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arabic Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of America. Dr. Demir has an academic background in Civil Engineering (Bachelors in Engineering), International Project Management (Masters in Engineering with Distinction) and Executive Leadership (MBA with Distinction). He also obtained a PhD from the BEST-Research Institute at Liverpool John Moores University. The topic of his PhD Thesis was “AgiLean PM – a unifying strategic framework to manage construction projects”. He has published a high number of papers at international journals and presented at a variety of international conferences worldwide. Dr Demir is one of the world's leading experts in his field and internationally recognised as such.
